The cMinds learning suite introduces a "hands-on" area in which learners develop intuition on a potential solution to a problem. This exploration phase, in which learners can endevour either by themselves or collaboratively in groups, aims at allowing learners freedem and at encouraging them to experiment with solution in a fun educational environment. Each problem implemented through the cMinds learning suite has its own hands-on zone. For example, for the classic problem of the sheep, the wolf, and the cabage that need to cross a river on a boat without eating each other, learners first have to try the crossings and see what happens when, for example, the wolf and the sheep stay alone together on the same shore. Once they realize that this is not a good idea (i.e. the wolf will eat the sheep), then they can develop a program that ensures that this never happens. The image on the left demonstrates the "hands-on" zone for this problem.
